Share a reviewed report
Choose the recipient, viewing rules, and expiry for a private report link.

Open the saved report and verify the client, reporting period, version, notes and results. Save any pending edits. Creating a private link requires report management and portal sharing access, plus current permission to read and share every connected source used by that report. The client record must have a valid email.
Being able to read or edit a report does not by itself authorize sharing it. If a source is unavailable or your access has changed, resolve that before creating a new link.
Create the private link
- Open the report in Reports and select Share report.
- Check the Client email. If it is incorrect, update the intended client in Clients before continuing.
- Choose One-time viewing or Repeat access until expiry.
- Set Link expires and Session length. Review the displayed local time.
- Select Create private link, then Copy link. Share it with the intended recipient through an approved channel.
- Review Sharing history to confirm the link belongs to the expected report version.
Email the link and receive confirmation
Select Email link in Sharing history and confirm the send. The sharing dialog stays open and shows an Email sent notification when the email service accepts the invitation. Email sent does not confirm inbox delivery or that the client has opened the report.
The person who sends the report receives a separate confirmation at their account email. It names the recipient and report version and links to the exact report that was sent. The workspace owner receives this confirmation only when they are the sender.
If the client email was sent but your confirmation failed, use Retry confirmation when available. This does not resend the client invitation. If the send status is unknown, refresh Sharing history before retrying. Retry options may take a minute to become available; if the status needs review, contact support before sending again.
What the client receives
The recipient must verify the assigned email to access a private link. A copied link is not evidence that an email was sent or that the client viewed the report. Creating a new report version also does not silently update an older shared version.
Owner preview requires current access to every source used by the report. It follows its own email verification flow and does not use the client’s viewing allowance. Preview with your own account rather than using the client’s sign-in code.
Resolve an access problem
Check the recipient email, expiry, access mode and link status in Sharing history. A one-time link may already have been used. Source access also matters: changing or removing a source share can make an existing report link unavailable. Restoring access does not automatically reactivate that old link.
If the client needs renewed access, first resolve source access, review the report and create a new link using the available controls. Do not forward someone else’s verification message or assume a previous send means the link is still usable.
